Job Title
Senior Paralegal
About Kerry
Kerry works within the road traffic accident team with responsibility for an RTA case load comprising mainly unlitigated cases. She also handles cases in the Court of Session and the new All-Scotland Personal Injury Court.
Having joined Thompsons in 2001 as a paralegal she worked in the occupational respiratory disease team in the rapidly-expanding Edinburgh office. Working closely with the NUM to further the interests of mineworkers suffering from respiratory diseases caused by their exposure to harmful substances, Kerry works to secure settlements for former-mineworkers and their families on a large scale compensation scheme.
After a four-year career break, she returned to Thompsons in 2012 as a paralegal in the RTA department. Working initially with non-personal injury cases, and then with clients seeking personal injury compensation.
Kerry enjoys representing claimants against large Insurance companies and relishes the challenges inherent in securing maximum compensation from corporations who seek to minimise payments on each claim.
Expertise
While Kerry works with claimants who have suffered minor injuries, she also has experience of dealing with serious and complex injuries; some of which are likely to be permanent and life-altering. Every case is unique, and she likes to think that she treats each client as an individual with their own set of circumstances.
What clients say about Kerry
“Many thanks for your help with this. The Service provided has been excellent”
“Thanks very much for dealing with this, it was a lot quicker and hassle free than I imagined it would be”
"That now being dealt with, I want to quickly take the chance to offer some feedback on my experience with your firm. This may sound somewhat textbook cheesy, however. I was not looking forward to having to go through this process having heard stories of the personal injuries industry. Your firm and specifically yourself have made it a very easy to handle experience. I have felt my opinions have been appreciated and I have at all times felt included, respected and kept up to speed with events. I would certainly be recommending your firm to others should they need and thank you for the work you have undertaken on my behalf."
(from thank you emails.)
