About Claire
Prior to starting her traineeship with Thompson’s, Claire worked in Financial Crime for a high street bank, undertaking Due Diligence reviews for Business Banking. In this role, Claire was tasked with analysing data and investigating suspicious activity which may be linked to money laundering, modern slavery, human trafficking, etc.
Claire also undertook work experience within the Legal team at the bank, which included reviewing Power of Attorney policies.
Whilst completing the Diploma of Legal Practice at Dundee University, Claire volunteered as a Co-Mediator at Dundee Sheriff Court as part of a national mediation trial to settle disputes before civil litigation commenced.
Expertise
As part of Claire’s traineeship, her role is to assist in the pre-litigation and litigation of claims for historical abuse survivors.
Claire also has an avid interest in international human rights, the rights of children and family law.
