About Richard

Richard is a graduate of Edinburgh University. He qualified as a solicitor in 2003 and as a solicitor advocate in 2012. He has pursued complex injury claims arising from industrial disease, road traffic accidents and accidents at work for more than 18 years as a solicitor and, recently, a solicitor advocate. He joined Thompsons in 2020.

Expertise

Accredited by the Law Society of Scotland as a specialist in personal injury law from 2016.

Accredited by the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL) as a Senior Litigator from 2018.

Richard has significant experience of litigation in the Court of Session and the Sheriff Courts. He has regularly appeared for proofs, jury trials, appeals and motion hearings.
