About Freyja 

Freyja is a Trainee Solicitor within the Glasgow Road Traffic Accident Team.

Freyja obtained her LLB in 2018 and Diploma in Professional Legal Practice in 2019 from the University of Glasgow.

Freyja is passionate about access to justice. Whilst at University she worked part-time for a Community Legal Service. There she was involved in homelessness prevention, assisting clients facing court action for eviction to obtain legal representation. She also provided advice and assistance to clients seeking to raise or defend actions under the Simplified Procedure. Freyja enjoyed working as a Summer Student with Thompsons in the Employment team in 2016, shadowing Employment Tribunals and Nursing and Midwifery Council hearings.

Following graduation, Freyja lived and worked in Victoria, Australia where she worked for a government funded organisation providing legal aid. She was involved with a pilot project aimed at providing early legal intervention to people charged with summary criminal offences, assisting the accused to obtain legal advice. After returning to Scotland, she resumed work in homelessness prevention, providing emergency lay court representation in Airdrie and Hamilton Sheriff courts in summary cause eviction actions.

Freyja has a strong interest in Personal Injury, having completed her dissertation on examining development risks as a defence to medical product liability claims under the Consumer Protection Act..

Expertise

Freyja is training under David Adams and Shahrez Rashid, who together have extensive experience in litigating road traffic accidents. She has eight years of experience in client relations and will be overseen whilst liaising with clients, obtaining statements and medical reports, initiating claims and negotiating with third party insurers, including undertaking settlement negotiations.

Freyja is committed to ensuring clients feel cared for throughout the claiming process and to obtaining the best possible outcome for clients.
