About Upasna

Before joining Thompsons, Upasna worked for Glasgow City Council as a Legal Services Intern within the Corporate and Property Law, Chief Executive Department. Her role included: reviewing property titles to assess Common Good status; preparing for voluntary registration of the council’s titles; assisting with community asset transfers as well as a wider range of legal work carried out by the Council’s in-house legal team.

She graduated with Scots and English Law Dual Qualifying LLB Degree from the University of Dundee in June 2021. During the summer, she had the opportunity to undertake a six-month placement with Pinsent Masons LLP, whilst also studying full-time for the Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice at University of Dundee.

In addition, she has gained invaluable experience working with several other law firms specialising in Immigration Law and Asylum.

Expertise

Upasna supports a variety of cases involving union members who have experienced accidents at work or in public, including serious injury cases.
