The personal injury compensation claimant from Kilmarnock was referred to Thompsons via his trade union, Unite, following a third-party road traffic accident he was involved in during the course of his employment.

The background

The claimant, a bus driver, had been driving along London Street. Having passed through a green light at the junction with Green Street, he was about to make his way toward the bus station. However, as he traversed the junction, a third-party vehicle ran through the red light from Green Street and collided with the driver's side of the bus.

The third-party vehicle contained the driver and one female passenger, the Third party vehicle was a write off following the road traffic accident.

During the collision, our client was subjected to significant impact, which resulted in the development of back and neck pain. He was later diagnosed with a three- to four- month soft tissue whiplash-type injury.
