Thompsons' office in Dumfries is our newest location and it provides access to expert personal injury claim solicitors in Dumfries & Galloway, and the surrounding area.
At just 25 miles from the Anglo-Scottish border, we are ideally placed to offer legal advice to clients in the south-west tip of Scotland, including Prestwick, Lockerbie, Moffat, Thornhill, and Castle Douglas.
As an important crossing point of the River Nith, the area was first settled by the Romans circa AD 80. The first charter records of Dumfries as we know it today are dated 1180, by which time the settlement had a church and a castle. In 1186, Dumfries was made a Royal Burgh by William the Lion and in 1395 Robert III granted a Royal Charter, meaning that Dumfries was confirmed as a significant market town in the South of Scotland.
