It got so hot that I reflexively just

dropped the cup, which unfortunately was on my thigh.

So that was the damage that was caused.

Because of the

lid coming off the Costa cup,

and I would say that at that point in time,

the massive blister on my thumb was the most painful part of me,

which was quite absurd when you see the skin peeling off

your thigh.

What I didn't realize was that the burn kept burning the

tissue. So basically, for an hour from when

the incident happened to going to A&E,

the burn was sinking through my tissues.

So by the time I got to A&E, I had

full-degree thickness burns, which then

required skin grafts.
