Award winning solicitors Thompsons is urging Scots to plan ahead this month and make a Will. November is ‘Make a Will Month’ and Thompsons will be teaming up with Will Aid to raise money for charity whilst offering its professional Will writing service for free.
Will Aid is an annual UK-wide campaign which encourages people to make a Will or update an existing one. For the month of November, Thompsons will provide a Will writing service in return for a donation to one of the nine Will Aid partner charities.
The campaign helps people all over the world to improve their lives and communities while offering an invaluable service to people in Scotland at the same time encouraging them to make provisions for the future. All money raised over the month will be split between the nine Will Aid charities which include Action Aid, British Red Cross, Christian Aid, Age UK, NSPCC, Save the Children, SCIAF, Sightsavers and Trocaire. Thompsons Partner Patrick McGuire said: “No one wants to have to think about the prospect of passing away but ‘Make a Will Month’ is a fantastic initiative which takes the doom and gloom out of writing a Will. Not only do clients have peace of mind that they are making provisions for their loved ones but they have the added benefit of knowing they are helping make a difference to a number of well known and loved charities.”
Making a Will does not need to be a complicated process and Thompsons have a professional, compassionate team ready to help.
