It has been announced that a Fatal Accident Inquiry is to be held after the death of a teenager who was struck by a mini van during his milk round. The road traffic accident occurred during the milk round in Lanark in June of last year.
The 16 year old, Conor McSherry was struck by a minivan during his delivery round in Stanmore Road, Cleghorn. He was struck as he stepped off the milk float and suffered fatal injuries and sadly died at the scene.
The Crown Office advised that a Fatal Accident Inquiry would take place at Lanark Sheriff Court between 24th and 27th May 2010.
At the time of the accident the teenager was doing a pre-apprenticeship course at Motherwell College and it is thought that he had only been doing the milk round for a few weeks prior to the tragic road traffic accident.
