A Celebration of Headway in Scotland 8th June 2012Grand Central Hotel, Glasgow(registration at 9:30am) Thompsons is extremely proud to sponsor this year’s Headway Conference, Scotland’s foremost brain injury learning and networking event, which is to be held at the Grand Central Hotel in the heart of Glasgow on Friday 8th June 2012.
Headway is a registered charity providing information, support and services to people who have sustained a brain injury, their family and carers.
In Scotland each year, approximately 16,500 adults sustain a brain injury and around 5,500 of these will still have some form of disability one year later. However, almost all people who survive brain injury have a normal life expectancy; indeed it is the largest single cause of disability in men under the age of 65. Acquired brain injury can challenge all aspects of daily life. The losses can be multiple, severe and permanent.
After a successful and inspiring inaugural Scottish conference, the 2012 Conference is a Celebration of Headway in Scotland and will be helpful to those directly affected by brain injury, professionals, employers and members of the public.
So drop by our Thompsons stand and say hello.
We look forward to seeing you on the day
