A twin who suffered severe injuries in a  road traffic has been awarded personal injury compensation. The twin pursued a claim for compensation after a road traffic accident 12 years ago was recently awarded 2.5 million in compensation.

The compensation the twin received took into consideration the care package that he would require for the rest of his life as a result of the disabilities he has been left with.

The personal injury sustained by the twin left him permanently brain damaged. The road traffic accident happened 12 years ago however, the personal injury claim could not be concluded until the twin had reached adulthood and the full extent of the brain damage could be assessed.

The case was unusual as the medics were able to use the twins brother as a gauge on how the injuries had effected his development.
