A woman has recently received a compensation payout after being badly injured in a car accident. She had been driving home from work at the time.

As she drove home, she noticed a car coming in the other direction pull out into her path in order to overtake several vehicles. Unfortunately for her, the car was unable to get back onto the correct side of the road and struck her vehicle head on. The impact of this smash sent her vehicle into a ditch at the side of the road. An ambulance was called and she was rushed to hospital, where she was found to have severe internal bruising.

Due to the traumatic nature of this experience she was left unable to drive and had to leave work because of this.

She sought compensation from the driver’s insurer for both the physical and psychological injuries which she sustained. The insurer agreed to settle her claim and she received a compensation payment of £35,000.
