The passenger of a car who was involved in a road traffic accident has recently received a large compensation payout after making a claim. He had been out with a friend at the time.
The accident occurred due to a driver in front of them trying to turn right while in the wrong lane. This car cut into the right hand lane without warning, causing the driver in the right hand lane to slam on their breaks. The passenger and his friend were in this lane but his friend was too close to the car in front and was unable to stop in time, striking the car in front.
The impact of the crash caused the airbags to inflate and impact with the passenger’s wrist. This caused him to sustain an injury which required him to undergo surgery and then wear a plaster cast for several weeks. His wrist is still painful and prevents him from doing some activities.
He made a compensation claim because of these factors and received a settlement of £26,000.
