November is ‘Make a Will Month’ and Thompsons Solicitors is teaming up with Will Aid to help raise money for charity while providing a vital service for clients.
Thompsons Solicitors believes that making a Will is one of the best ways to provide peace of mind at a difficult time and ensure your wishes will be carried out.
Will Aid is an annual UK-wide campaign which encourages people to make a Will or update an existing Will. For the month of November, Thompsons Solicitors will be offering its Will writing service for free. In return clients are asked to consider reciprocating this generosity by making a donation to one of the nine Will Aid partner charities.
The campaign aims to raise money to help people all over the world to improve their lives, their communities and build a brighter future while offering an invaluable service to people in this country. All donations made to Will Aid will be split between the following charities: Action Aid, British Red Cross, Christian Aid, Age UK, NSPCC, Save the Children, SCIAF, Sightsavers and Trocaire.
Patrick McGuire, Partner said: “Make a Will Month is a fantastic initiative and one which Thompsons is proud to be a part of. Making a Will does not need to be a complicated process and we have a professional, compassionate team here to help you make important provisions for the future.
It is never too early to think about writing a Will and Will Aid is the perfect opportunity for people to provide for their loved ones in the future whilst supporting charities”.
Thompsons Solicitors is taking bookings now for November’s Make a Will Month so if you would like to talk to someone about drafting a Will under the Will Aid scheme then contact us now to discuss your requirements.
The suggested donation for a single Will is £90, £135 for a pair or mirror Wills and £40 for a codicil. Last year Will Aid raised £2.2 million for charity and enabled 27,000 people to protect their loved ones through making a proper Will.
