Customers in the UK who were affected by the collapse of the internet arm of Icelandic bank, Landsbanki, have one final chance to claim compensation for lost savings.
After the collapse the UK government stepped in and guaranteed that the funds of British savers would be safe. However approximately 1,600 savers have not yet claimed the compensation that they are entitled to.
The Financial Services Compensation Scheme has been dealing with the compensation claims and has to submit the final request to the Icelandic authorities in advance of the 30th October.
