A driver who suffered life-threatening injuries when hit head on by a stolen van has been awarded over £3 million in compensation at the Court of Session in Edinburgh.

£2.2 million of this compensation represents future care costs for victim Sean Milligan, 44, who now requires around the clock care following the smash in July 2004.

Compensation of £60,000 was also made in recognition the services and care Sean’s sister provided to him following the accident.
