I was shocked to read recently about a woman who was involved in a terrifying accident at Kirkcaldy train station.

The mother of two was trying to get off the train with her husband and two sons when the accident happened.  She stated that as she was attempting to exit the train the doors shut without warning, pushing her on to the track and under the wheels.  Her eldest son jumped on to the tracks to pull her clear while her younger son shouted at railway staff to stop the train moving.

The woman broke her arm and has had to take ten weeks off work since the accident happened.  She is now planning legal action against ScotRail.
