At Thompson’s we would like to reassure all our clients that as far as possible we are operating as normal. The health and safety of our staff and clients is our primary concern during this outbreak and as such we are reviewing the situation on a regular basis and will be adapting our working practices following government guidelines. However, we have had to make some minor changes to how we are doing things.

Following Government guidelines, we have temporarily closed all of our offices and our staff are now all working from home using secure technologies to ensure they are able to continue to progress with existing and new cases as normal. All face to face meetings have been cancelled, however we are continuing to hold these meetings via phone and video calls. All the team are contactable on their direct dial numbers and email should you need to speak with your solicitor, please do not hesitate to talk to us about anything during this time.

We know these are uncertain and unsettling times for many of our clients, and the wider population, and things might look a little different for the foreseeable future. But our focus remains on our dedication, knowledge and strength that we provide to all our clients. We will continue to provide updates over the coming days and weeks in accordance with official guidelines and to keep everyone informed of the situation.

As always, for any concerns, advice and updates on your case; Talk to Thompsons.

Why Thompsons - Accident Solicitors in Scotland

Thompsons Solicitors Scotland
Thompsons Solicitors Scotland

Thompsons is an award-winning firm of accident injury solicitors. We are confident that our team will be able to answer all your queries, provide care and understanding of your circumstances, and, most importantly, help you receive the compensation that you deserve.

As a firm, we are proud to say that we only represent individuals, victims of accidents and those suffering occupational illnesses for example, and this is what sets us apart from many other firms. We have a passion for justice and a commitment to our clients that is second to none, and this commitment is demonstrated through the following:

  • We put your interests, and those of your family and loved ones, at the heart of all we do
  • Our friendly contact centre staff’s first concern will be to find out how you are, and whether we can offer any help, advice or reassurance
  • We can come and see you at home, in hospital or arrange transport to our offices
  • We can put you in touch with a wide range of medical professionals, at no cost and with no obligation
  • We campaign for victims and work with MSPs and MPs to change the law where it fails our clients
  • We always represent victims, never insurance companies or big businesses
  • Above all, we always seek to recover the maximum compensation that you are entitled to.

Thompsons - helping individuals, not companies

As Scotland's largest personal injury firm, we have helped the innocent victims involved in some of the country's most devastating tragedies over the last few decades, such as the Lockerbie disaster and the Piper Alpha explosion. More recently, we've helped the families of victims in the sinking of the Flying Phantom on the River Clyde, the Stockline Plastics factory explosion, and the helicopter crash at the Clutha pub.

We provide the same care and dedication to every individual who has suffered a personal injury caused by another party, no matter the scale of the incident. We're here to stand up for the victims, so we don't believe that any case is too small. We know the impact that sustaining an injury can have on a person, potentially causing great distress for them and their family. And although we know  that receiving compensation will not solve all the problems associated with your injury or illness, it can help make moving forward that much easier.

The ethos of Thompsons is to do all we can to benefit our clients, which involves challenging the law whenever it is unfair to their needs and campaigning to change legislation whenever it's necessary for the health and safety regulations to improve. We have been involved in a number of landmark cases that have seen us help reach these goals.

Our expertise and passion for helping others has been recognised by major charities. We work with Headway, a charity that helps support those suffering from brain injury, and Brake, a charity that campaigns for improved road safety and aims to help those with serious injuries sustained in road accidents.

Thompsons' track record speaks for itself. Our accident solicitors win more than nine out of ten of the cases we take to court, and we recover over £1 million every week for our clients. So if you are looking for an expert accident solicitor, look no further...
