I took a break from helping you with your No Win No Fee compensation claims this week and instead focused my efforts on the forthcoming Penrose Inquiry (called this because it will be chaired by Supreme Court judge Lord Penrose).

Indeed, unless you have heard of it, there is no way of working out from the name what it is about!

The Penrose Inquiry has been set up to investigate the contamination of some blood products in Scotland during the 60s and 70s which lead to some patients (often in for only a routine operations) contracting blood-borne diseases.

Thompsons, apart from being Scotland's number one law firm for No Win No Fee compensation are also Scotland's No. 1 campaigning lawyers.

For the best part of a decade we have been working with the Haemophilia Society to make the Penrose Inquiry a reality. We are finally there! The inquiry will happen in 2011 and the victims will finally get their day in court.

In partnership with the haemophilia society and in preparation for the Inquiry, Thompsons (and myself) will be attending at 'roadshows' around Scotland promoting awareness of the Inquiry and the fight for haemophiliac victims as a whole.

Whether it is answers, justice or compensation people want to know about, we will be there to help.

The dates are:

27th September,  Ninewells Hospital, 7.30pm

29th September, 7.30pm, Haemophila Scotland, 4b Gayfield Place, Gayfield Place Lane, Edinburgh, EH7 4AB

30 September, 7pm,  Ness House Highland Hospice, Inverness

2 October 11am, St Mungo's Cathedral (next to Glasgow Royal Infirmary)
