We don’t just use the phrase ‘Talk to Thompsons’ we truly believe it is good to talk. Which is why we have launched the Talk to Thompsons podcast and thank you for joining us in our discussion today.
In the unpredictable world we find ourselves in due to the coronavirus outbreak, many of our current, past and new clients have many questions about various topics. Is their case still progressing? Are Thompsons still operating as normal? What rights do they have at work?
What can they do to protect themselves and their loved ones? Who do I turn to should anything happen? We aim to answer these general questions and specific questions over the coming weeks exploring a different topic in each episode.
In today’s episode our host Paul Kissen speaks to Patrick McGuire and David Martyn, both senior partners in the firm, about the Health & Safety rights of employees who are being asked to work during the coronavirus pandemic and discusses the Government’s furlough scheme and what this means for those affected.

Paul Kissen – Paul is a trainee lawyer within Thompsons’ employment law department with particular focus on multiple redundancies and protective award compensation.
Patrick McGuire – Patrick is a senior Partner at Thompsons and is an expert in personal injury and health and safety law. Patrick is also known for his work with our partner Trade Unions in campaigning with them over the years for the rights of workers health and safety in the workplace.
David Martyn – David is a senior Partner at Thompsons with responsibility over our Employment Law department. David is a specialist in simplifying complex legal issues to create practical strategies to resolve workplace disputes.
