Thompsons Solicitors Scotland announce promotions

Thompsons Solicitors are pleased to announce that David Martyn and Roz Galloway have been promoted to Associates. David  within the firm’s employment department and Roz with the firm’s Aberdeen Office.   Both Roz and David began as trainees with Thompsons,  David in 2009 and Roz  in 2006.

Partner Wendy Durie said David and Roz’s promotion was very well deserved and testament to the firm’s policy of nurturing and rewarding talent and hard work. She said “The partners have been very impressed by the level of commitment and ability shown by both Roz and David. David’s recent high profile work on the holiday pay ruling is a very good example of why his promotion is richly deserved. In addition Roz has excelled in her role at our Aberdeen office in particular in dealing with offshore and asbestos cases.”

Commenting on her promotion Roz said  “I’m obviously extremely pleased. I’d like to thank the partners and in particular Chris Gordon from the Aberdeen office for the faith  shown in me over the years. I’m really looking forward to new challenges ahead.” David too was very pleased with developments, he said “This is a very exciting time for the employment law department at Thompsons and I’m very glad to have been given an expanded role.”
