About Michelle

Michelle Pretorius is a trainee solicitor within the Edinburgh Accident Team.

Michelle holds a BA Languages degree from the University of Pretoria and after obtaining her LLB from the University of Edinburgh, Michelle attended the University of Strathclyde for the Diploma in Professional Legal Practice, graduating in 2023. Michelle took part in the University of Strathclyde’s work-based learning elective to gain experience in personal injury from Gildeas Solicitors.

Michelle has always been passionate about people and how accidents affect their lives. She has a keen interest in Personal Injury law and strives to get the best possible outcome for her clients. Since starting her traineeship with Thompsons, she has worked on various cases including cycling accidents, accidents in the workplace and slip and trip accidents.
