Paralegal in pre-litigation within the Lung Disease Department
After graduating from City of Glasgow College in May 2015 Karen started working at Thompsons in the contact centre, dealing with initial enquiries for all departments. In April 2016 she was offered the opportunity to train as a paralegal within the lung disease pre-litigation department.
Karen really enjoys her role within the lung disease department and the satisfaction that it brings. She appreciates that making a claim for lung disease compensation can be quite a daunting experience for people who are unfamiliar with the legal process and she always try her best to ensure that clients feel comfortable when dealing with her.
Specialising in assisting clients who have been diagnosed with asbestos related pleural plaques, Karen prepares cases with a view to settling the claim before it has to go to court.
Karen enjoys meeting with clients and discussing their employment statements. She finds hearing the various stories about their working lives an interesting and important part of her work.
