Kirsty studied the Scots and English Dual Qualifying LLB Degree at Dundee University and graduated in 2016. She began working part-time at Thompsons whilst studying for her Diploma throughout 2016/17 at the University of Glasgow. Kirsty started off assisting the Pre-Litigation Lung Team in preparing cases prior to being raised in court. She commenced her Traineeship in November 2017.
Kirsty is a Trainee Solicitor specialising in complex asbestos-related disease claims. Her primary role currently is assisting the solicitors and associates with their case holdings. These claims are raised in either the All Scotland Sheriff Personal Injury Court or the Court of Session. Since commencing her Traineeship she has received a lot of exposure to the separate court processes and to litigation generally. Kirsty's role within the Lung Disease Team has been both morally and intellectually rewarding.
