Dominika is a graduate of Aberdeen University and joined Thompsons' Aberdeen office as a student in 2015, initially working with the firm on a part-time basis while studying for her law degree. During her stay in the Aberdeen office, Dominika worked closely with the firm’s Accident team and Lung Disease team. She assisted by carrying out legal research, drafting court papers and taking statements.
After gaining this invaluable experience, Dominika started her traineeship in the Accident team in 2017, and she now works as a trainee solicitor in the Edinburgh office. Her work involves assisting the team with a variety of case types, such as accidents at work, accidents abroad, criminal injury claims, occupiers’ liability cases, and public liability cases. Dominika is involved in cases progressing through the Court of Session, the All-Scotland Specialist Personal Injury Court, and local Sherriff Courts.
Prior to starting her traineeship with Thompsons in 2017, Dominika attended the University of Aberdeen and the University of Trnava. Throughout her academic studies Dominika has had a particular interest in helping attain justice for those who need it most, which is why she was attracted to the firm’s commitment to represent solely individuals in their legal disputes and not those who are responsible or pay out for injuries – employers or insurance companies.
