If disciplinary proceedings are being taken against you through the Regulator they will usually begin with a letter asking for you to comment on what has made them investigate the matter - a complaint or inspection report for example. Upon receipt of the letter it is important to be proactive.
Check the Regulator’s website to find out when your hearing is and also note the outcomes of any investigations into similar allegations. You also need to consider informing your employer. Generally we would caution that an employer may expect an employee to make them aware of any matters which may relate to their ability to perform the role in which they are employed.
If you are a member of a union you should contact them as soon as possible.
