Woman Receives Compensation after Car Accident

A young woman was left badly injured after being in a car accident. She had been driving on the Aberdour to Burntisland Road in Fife when the car accident happened. As she was driving, a Fiat Punto drove towards her on the wrong side of the road, hitting her car head on.

The woman received severe personal  injuries from the car crash, including a fracture to her right femur and a pelvic fracture. She was in surgery for eight hours while the doctors attempted to repair the damage. Despite this however, the surgery was not completely successful and she has had to have several more operations. Even now she does not have the full use of her right arm and leg, causing her to have difficulty with things like showering and cooking.

She made a compensation claim against the other driver’s insurer, who agreed a six-figure settlement with her. She will use some of the money to buy specially designed equipment for her home which will make it easier for her to perform normal household tasks.
