A man has recently received a substantial compensation payment after being involved in a road traffic accident. He is in his seventies and has been severely physically and mentally affected by the crash.
He had been driving alone at the time of the accident. Ahead of him two drivers became involved in a road rage incident and began to drive recklessly. They crashed into each other and he was unable to avoid the collision.
He was then rushed to hospital and was found to have sustained multiple orthopedic injuries and considerable psychological injuries. He is now far less mobile than he was before the accident and has had to hire someone to help around the house.
He sought compensation from the insurers of the drivers who had caused the crash. They admitted liability and agreed to settle his compensation claim. He received a compensation payout of £145,000. The compensation will be used to fund his home-care and to allow him to have any additional support he needs.
