All kinds of workers may have been exposed to asbestos from shipbuilding, engineering, factory maintenance, hospitals, offices to even in the home.

Some people may have been affected because asbestos was present in their offices and factories, of if they worked in its vicinity, or if it was disturbed during alterations or refurbishment of the premises.
They include:
- Secretary

Some people have developed Mesothelioma from working at or near asbestos factories or dumps, while others have been exposed in a domestic environment.
