Law Idol Terms and Conditions:
All entrants in the Thompsons solicitors’ law idol “no win no fee internship” must accept the following terms and conditions:
- All blog posts must be between 300-500 words on the topic of No Win No Fee, Road traffic Accident, Accident at Work.
- All blog posts must be submitted by the 31st March 2011. Any submissions received after 12 midnight on 31 March 2011 will not be entered into the competition but may still be used.
- Thompsons will announce the top 20 blog posts on 5th April before 4pm via the Thompsons Youtube channel, the blog posts will also be uploaded to the Thompsons Scotland website. .
- Voting for the blog posts will begin on 5th of April as soon as the blog posts are uploaded to thompsons-scotland.co.uk.
- Successful entrants will be advised by email prior to blog content being uploaded.
- Once the content has been uploaded the entrants will receive an email containing links to their post together with information on the best practice to obtain votes.
- The closing date for voting on blog posts will be 9.00am 4th May 2011.
- Vote values will be counted like so: Digg the post on digg.com=3 votes, Retweet on Twitter.com=2 votes, Like or Comment on Facebook=1 vote.
- 5 Finalist will be announced on 5th May via video.
- 5 finalists will be contacted via Email on best practices for promoting their video.
- Video Entries must be no longer than 2 minutes. The title of the entrants’ video must be “why I should win the no win no fee internship”.
- Videos must be submitted by 12th May noon.
- Voting for videos starts on 13th May at noon.
- Cut-off for the voting on videos is 13th June at 12 noon.
- Grand Prize winners will be announced on the 15th June.
- All blog posts submitted will be viewed fairly by an appointed judge within Thompsons Solicitors Scotland.
- All entrants who submit content agree to allow the free use of said content for commercial purpose and or promotional purposes related to Thompsons Solicitors Scotland.
- Only content that is published under the domain www.thompson-scotland.co.uk will receive a payment of £5 and a personal acknowledgement. The £5 payment is not applicable for the top 20 blog post entrant s in the Law Idol competition.
- Any content published out with said domain will not receive any payment or personal acknowledgement.
- The Prizes: First Prize: Offered a paid internship at one of Thompsons Scotland offices. Runners up will be offered a paid part time research position. Every article that is used on the Thompsons domain will be paid a fee of £5 excluding those who progress in the competition.
