If, for your work, you need to register with a regulator then there are a series of instances where your professional conduct can be referred to what is known as a Regulatory Hearing. 

This area of Employment law is particularly relevant for health and social care professionals in the UK who must be registered with one of 13 regulators.   The majority of matters involving Regulatory Hearings we see involve the Health Professions Council, the Nursing and Midwifery Council and the Scottish Social Services Council.
