Jayne Crawford is a graduate of Edinburgh University and a Solicitor within Thompsons' Edinburgh Office. She trained and qualified at Thompsons having joined the firm in 2003. Jayne specialises in personal injury law and her case handling responsibilities include:-

  • Management of case referrals from a major legal expenses insurer

  • Management of private case referrals from individuals and other Scottish lawyers

  • Litigation arising from the British Coal Respiratory Disease Handling Agreement

  • Litigation arising from the British Coal Vibration White Finger Handling Agreement

Jayne is an experienced litigator at the Court of Session where she has run Proofs, Jury Trials and appeals to the Inner House. Noteable successes include Megan Robertson v. Horses in Scotland Ltd (Lord McPhail, 22nd March 2007) and the jury trial Carmichael v. Isola (UK) Ltd (Lord Bracadale and Jury, 19th May 2005) referred to in Civil Jury Trials (2nd Edition) A M Hadjucki QC, 2006.
