Hep C Compensation Claims
Hepatitis C (Hep C) is a virus. Apart from infection through drugs and other means, infections also took place in the past through either:
- a blood transfusion prior to October 1991 before screening came into place
- from Factor 8 which is a product used for coagulation of blood for haemophiliacs. The virus is eradicted from blood products by heat treatment but that only came into place in Scotland in about 1987 and in England in about 1984/85.
